John S. James Co. USA active in charitable events and shipment of relief goods

Knoxville John S. James Co. was recently recognized with the TENNderCare Community Partners Award by the Tennessee Department of Health. The offices also participated in the local chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association's annual "Lock Up" charity fundraiser. In addition to participation in charitable events, the office has been instrumental in providing export services for the shipping of relief goods to regions of the CIS, Caribbean and Central America.

Last year John S. James worked with fellow GLA members Orchid Shipping India to provide warehousing, staging, export, cargo insurance and airfreight logistics to 12 third world countries around the globe. Destinations included interior Africa, South America, and Central Asia. With JSJ/Orchid's combined efforts the vitamin supplements reached 10 million children. The project was managed by Tom King in the JSJ Atlanta office and Orchid did a fantastic job. This would not have been possible without the dedication, commitment and communication on both sides of the equation. John S. James Co. appreciates this caliber of service from Orchid and the many GLA agents we work with. We will be working with the same customer this year to do it again on a larger scale. This time the goal is to reach 15 million children.
