NEW OVERSIZED SHIPMENT BY AYSA & TRANSMIL

Here is another example of cooperation between GLA members, this time TRANSMIL and AYSA team.

The cargo consist of an hydro power turbine:   60 Tn. weight and 10,00 x 7,50 x 4,00 m.

The power turbine was shipped from Bilbao port, Spain and delivered at Niksar Power Station, Turkey via Derince port.

Niksar is located at Tokat province in northern Turkey and an important obstacle was the really difficult road conditions near delivery point.

The turbine was 7,50 m. wide that made both precarriage and oncarriage haulage a very specialized job.

Precarriage had to be realized by night sorting narrow tunnel, bridge and several obstacles as traffic signals.

The delivery by road included road reinforcements, bridge adjustments, and a very detailed route work due to rough terrain of the region.

TRANSMIL was in charge of the ex-factory to port movement in addition to vessel chartering procedure and AYSA coordinated destination port operations and door delivery trucking to Niksar Power Station.
