Project cooperation between Orchid Shipping India and Kingfisher Freight South Africa

 

This project consisted of the movement of a cooker and various smaller items from port of Mumbai to Johannesburg via Durban Harbor on joint co-operation between both parties . The cooker, a single abnormal piece weight 95 mt and had dimensions of 10,8 m in length and a diameter of 5,7 m which required heavy lift equipment in Mumbai loading port , discharge at Durban harbor by floating crane and then transport to final destination by specialized abnormal vehicle all the way to Johannesburg by road and then discharge by cranes onto site .

The co-ordination and co-operation by members of the association resulted in a flawless logistical operation from door to door .
